Cappadocia Journal of Education

Evaluation process

Evaluation process

The articles submitted to the journal are first reviewed by the journal editor in terms of format. At this stage, it is examined whether the article is suitable for the Journal template. It is reviewed according to KAPED publication principles and spelling rules. As a result of these reviews, the appropriate articles are assigned to the field editors. Field editors review articles for their contribution to the field.

For the review of the publications, at least two reviewers are appointed by the editor(s) according to the content of the studies and the field of expertise of the reviewers . All reviewer evaluation reports are sent electronically anonymously. The names of the reviewers who made the evaluation are not mentioned in the reports and in the journal due to the double-blind method. If requested, a written document stating that the contribution to the journal has been made as a reviewer can be given to the reviewer.

Blind peer review processes directly affect the quality of academic publications. The evaluation process is carried out with the principle of double-blind arbitration. Reviewer cannot directly communicate with authors, evaluation and reviewer reports are submitted through the journal management system. In this process, evaluation forms and reviewer reports are sent to the author(s) through the editor. Double-blind peer-review helps editors make decisions in dialogue with authors. At the same time, writers have the opportunity to improve their work by obtaining important information about their work.
